At Capital Chiropractic we have a full on site x-ray department for our patients. After your initial consultation your chiropractor will discuss with you whether or not any further investigations are needed to help arrive at the correct diagnosis. If x-rays are required, they can be taken and developped at the clinic. This enables our patients to get the results quickly rather than having to send our patients away to another x-ray facility to do this.
It is important to remember that we will only ever take an x-ray if it absolutely necessary for your individual case. For some patients x-rays are a necessity to rule out certain conditions that chiropractic cannot help. Other times, if initial examination findings are unclear, an x-ray is taken to help lead to a diagnosis. The main reasons chiropractors take x-rays are for your safety, to access the condition of the spine, to check for congenital anomalies and to access for any degeneration within the spine.
