Meet The Team
MEET THE CHIROPRACTORS
Director / ChiropractorStuart has had a lifelong interest in health and fitness. After graduating from high school, Stuart initially pursued a professional football career with Portsmouth Football Club. It was during this time that Stuart first discovered chiropractic care. A career threatening injury resulted in Stuart turning to Chiropractic when all other medical interventions had previously failed and his injury was completely cured. After this life changing experience, Stuart’s chiropractor was always the first person he went to see for any health condition whether it be colds, headaches, allergies or back pain. Stuart later decided that this was the route he wanted to take in his career and consequently studied at the prestigious Anglo- European College of Chiropractic (AECC). Stuart has personally attended over 200 extra hours of intense training all over the world through the Gonstead Seminar of Chiropractic in places such as USA, Denmark, Paris and Manchester. Stuart is currently in the process of taking the Gonstead Extremity Certification (GCEC), and becoming only the 3rd chiropractor in the UK to obtain such a distinctive qualification. Stuart’s professional aim is to ensure all of his patients have a healthy functioning nervous system so they can reach optimal health with a nervous system that is free of any interference. Stuart is a recognised AXA chiropractor and is registered with the General Chiropractic Council.
Paul has grown up in a family that values natural approaches to health and well being. After experiencing first hand the benefits of chiropractic care when his mother trained to be a chiropractor in his teens, Paul decided this was the way he wanted to help people achieve their health goals.
Paul graduated from Chiropractic college in Oxford where he learned a diverse range of gentle approaches to restore correct function of the spine and nervous system. Paul is also a keen academic and personal speaker and has been fortunate enough to represent chiropractic organizations worldwide as well as having research presented internationally. Having spent a year working as a chiropractor in Peru, prior to joining the Capital Chiropractic team, Paul has seen how chiropractic can help people from all walks of life and at all ages; from newborns to the elderly and everyone in between.
Paul understands that the nervous system is the master controller of the body and that disruption to its’ normal function can contribute to many common conditions as well as reducing performance in general. Paul’s professional aim is to help resolve his patient’s problems by correcting dysfunction in their spine and nervous system and play a part in their journey towards greater levels of health and well being.
Paul is registered with the General Chiropractic Council and is a member of the Royal College of Chiropractors.
Director / Chiropractor
Shauna first experienced the benefits of chiropractic in Canada, her home country, when she was adjusted regularly as an adolescent to ensure that her spine developed in a healthy manner. Her interest in chiropractic care continued to grow after experiencing, first hand, all the benefits of chiropractic care and Shauna realised that the root of many conditions stem from the nervous system. Shauna then decided to train to be a chiropractor herself. After receiving a Bachelor of Science in Human Nutrition in Canada, Shauna moved to England to study at the world renowned Anglo-European College of Chiropractic. After her studies, Shauna embarked on a chiropractic mission trip to Costa Rica, where she provided chiropractic care to the under-served people of rural Costa Rica. Shauna continues to dedicate her career to giving back to her profession and her community through her commitment to patient care, academia, research, mentoring, and volunteering. Shauna’s professional aim is to help her patients, of all ages, not only get rid of their pain but also to encourage them on their pursuit to overall health and wellness. Shauna is registered with the General Chiropractic Council, is a Bupa recognised chiropractor, is certified in the Functional Movement System, is an Instrument Assisted Soft Tissue practitioner, is accredited by the Canadian Chiropractic Examining Board and is a member of the Royal College of Chiropractors.
David graduated from the prestigious New Zealand College of Chiropractic and from there worked extensively as a chiropractor in the rural community of Wairarapa in New Zealand. Coming from a family of health professionals, with his parents both nurses, his sister a paediatric Doctor and his brother a Doctor of Chiropractic, it was no surprise when David decided to pursue a career in chiropractic.
David’s chiropractic journey is a colorful one having first studied and worked as an electrician in the oil and gas sector which taught him a variety of practical skills he still uses on a regular basis today.
David leads an active lifestyle by running, hiking and surfing and has found chiropractic care to be an integral part of not only preventing injuries but to also wake up each day feeling fantastic.
David’s enthusiasm lies in helping people of all ages and walks of life to reach their health and well-being goals by delivering chiropractic care in a gentle, empowering and positive space.
